Bandage will keep you from getting dirty.
Bandage will help you to heal.
Bandage will keep you safe.

Dear Pain,
Band-aids and Bandages will make you go away.
Band-aids and Bandages won't let you stay.
Band-aids and Bandages will stick around any day.
Band-aids and Bandages will fix me no matter what they say.

Thinking of YouToday I drew a figure
A figure made of lines
When I'm glad he smiles
When I'm mad he dies.

The thing about this figure
This figure that I drew
On days that I am really mad
I just pretend it's you.

A child, protected in her mother's womb.
Unaware it will soon be her tomb.
She can hear her mothers voice.
It's the most beautiful noise.

She doesn't have words to express,
What she feels yet.
But she loves her mother so much.
Her world, a rosy tinted ocean where there's only touch.

Floating innocent and safe,
Surrounded by her mother's embrace.
Waiting for the day,
When she will see her face.

But this is the world she'll never see.
The child she will never be.

Mud Luver

She spent the morning in the past, reclaiming childhood.
The raindrops felt like second grade, if second grade
could run down a back or stick hair to cheeks.

Red boots brought back picture books, mud splatter up to
the waist, disregarded. The way the lightning freezes time
in bright instants, every drop a crystal ball in reverse,
sharing tea parties that once were, and gourmet mud pies.

Umbrellas are a hindrance, unless they're used for dancing.
Time resumed at noon, when working women must punch in,
but the seven-year-old smile stays put, with the mud under
the nails that life cannot wash away.

Yesterday I was calm.
I told you that I can also live without you which is possibly true.
But when I seriously think about the future, I don't want to be without you.
No matter if you believe it or not, I finally feel familiar.
I don't even know if love exists and if there is a love that fits me better than yours, but I doubt it.
In fact there were moments which weren't perfect.
When you annoyed me and the reality differed from my imagination.

"Only touch me when you really are in love with me" was probably the only rational sentence that I said for weeks.
So you don't touch me and I revise my statement.

elusive shades
that insist themselves in my life
with penetrating force.

Captivated by their charm
I refuse to become entangled
within their charismatic webs
of lies and deceit,

rendered yet another sacrificial
offering to be sucked dry

Forcing myself to breathe free
when feeling myself drowning
under the weight of their eyes
which remain forever burning
as a flame that refuses to be snuffed.

The decomposing walls
    pummelled by passion,
    fermented fury
no longer provide
promised permanence.

Girl so sweet, only seventeen
A prettier sight you'd never seen
Long raven hair, soft pale skin
A heart every man wanted to win
Clear blue eyes, deep as the sea
As gentle a soul as there could ever be
Then one quiet winter's day
She ventured to where she used to play
A forest so thick, not bothered by light
But not too far in she was given a fright
For before her stood a man so strong
His piercing eyes watched her far too long
She turned, a sparrow in flight, too late
He held her fast, told her to wait
He meant no harm, he looked so sweet
And so they agreed from then on they'd meet
Every day they were together in secret
She felt happy to bursting every time they met
A few weeks later, he loved her he said
So with this, alas, they agreed to wed
She wore her mother's antique wedding dress
They were to meet late at night, under moonlight's caress
Poor thing, she waited what seemed like forever
But her love would soon complete his wicked endeavour
She sees only a shadow before it all goes black
Her innocence is stolen in this violent attack
She awoke a spirit, viewing this scene from above
Blood stains the man she used to love
As she watches he smirks, stands then saunters away
The corpse bride lies where she used to play
