Land Of No Time

Standing there, phone in hand
The other holds a knife
The shining blade now stained
With the blood from her pale wrists
There's too much, it won't stop
She knows she cut too far
But she couldn't stop, no control
The pain was too much, she had to get away
Escape to a place where there is no time
A land in which evil is only a myth
But she never stays long
For it would be far too easy to lose yourself
Now she lies on the floor
A battle raging in her head
Alas! the war is lost
She closes her eyes to reality
And begins her new life in the world beyond
