Looking at yourself
From a broken mirror
That jagged crack

Your doubts, your faults
Are not hard to find

You destroy your life
Because of that crack

You lose things you cannot get back

The mirror still shows

Because everyone knows

The mirror only broke
Because you expected
Because you had no faith

GoodbyeThe earth, she waits for many years
Through the bloodshed and the tears
She's seen the hate and poisoned things
Listens as the death card sings
Waiting for a certain day
A lonely path where flowers lay
Two paths will cross, eyes will lock
Time stands still on true love's clock
Hand in hand, they walk along
They face their fears, love keeps them strong
Finally, they stop and turn
Tears so loud, they streak and burn
A final kiss before they part
Rose red lips, a broken heart
The earth, she breathes an empty sigh
And watches as they say goodbye

Cut all the ties that bind to me
I realise as I sail away
Freedom has a price to pay
Severed from the ones you love,
As you float way above
Those who tether you to the ground
No longer are around

Someone used to say to me
Now that someone is gone
Honesty made them move on
Be wary of the sharpened tongue
Learn it now while you are young
Tact is a skill well learned
So that no More will get burned

Welcome HomeI once was a cheerful young pup. Eager to learn, eager to please. I swore I'd do anything to protect my family. Even at the cost of my own life.

They promised me they'd take care of me. That they'd feed and pet me everyday. They said they would never leave me; never abandon me.

Such lies.

Like everything that lives, I grew up. I was no longer a pup, but my loyalty remained unfaltering as it did before. But their words faded into nothing. Their promises were forgotten.

There were nights I slept hungry. I was left alone outside often and I no longer went out for walks. Even a simple pat on the head, I was deprived of.

Time passed. And the

EphemeralI considered it a loss;
the vacancy,
unfulfilled.

Your gaze upon my nude eyelids,
at three in the morning.

The absence of tranquility,
came at a cost;
it hammered at my cerebrum,
during waking hours.

I called it transience.

FantasyThe trek I started with a run,
leaving paths, creating my own;
of qualms or regrets I had none
when into the race I was thrown

As the rocky sides grew steeper,
and mistakes must never be made,
the ocean below seemed deeper,
the lush green ground started to fade

Slowly the end came into view,
appearing behind a fluffed cloud;
ending that which I always knew,
and leaving me laughing aloud

Monster PatientPatient monster making wishes on unbreakable glass,
Knuckles a coin down his tree-knee fingers. Knotted,
A pretzel. I sweat the saps of his family tree.
A broken promise, I forget he's in there, staring,
Patient monster.

Patient monster backs into the dark to stain my
Glass prison with ghost lips, empty eyes. Gaiety and pomp
Make me their marionette. Curious cat. Cold-calling chaplain.
Existence, a whisper from the shattered throat of a
Patient monster.

Patient monster evaporates into dreamy clouds,
The toxic hallways soak up, a dewy cocoon.
Distrusting, glassy warden. Deserted, happy, and
Cold. Shivering foetus. Awaiting the r

Fleetingly ColdYou were barely there
Your kiss was so cold
You felt like ice against my lips
Chilling me to the bone

But I knew
It was you
Your kiss felt the same
But all warmth was gone

Your protective embrace
Only freezes my soul
But I want to savor
This moment with what's left of you

That warmth is gone
Like your time with me
Fragile and fleeting…
That is life

But at least
We could have
This final silent moment
To pretend we're still the same

My love for you
Goes beyond the grave
So though you're unreachable
These feelings will follow your ghost

Always and ForeverEverything we've been through
Forget about all the bad
Just remember the good

When I leave
Leave the bad behind and
Come back to me, the good

We can't let it bother us
For we can't keep
Thinking too seriously

So take your hand in mine
For I'm never going to
Change my mind about you

I will continue to love you
The same way I always did and
It will always keep growing

I made a promise to get closer
I will keep that promise
As long as I live

warm coffee cups that
bridge our lips or the
curve of your neck that i
first fell in love with now seem
less a triviality and more a
survival mechanism

the giddyness of you swims
consciously throughout my
thoughts and when you're not here
it resonates like symbol crashes
across an empty earthen field
because you matter

late at night when i can't
seem to be who i'm supposed to
it doesn't count because you
care and since you care i can
be the one you care abo

Falling for youHey why can't you see how beautiful you are

You're lovely and amazing, I love you, with all of your imperfections and with all of your flaws

You still the only who rocked my world, And no one else can rock it but you

What I first notice when I look at girls is that they are not you

You'll never really know how much you mean to me

Can't you see that I am just in love with you

I didn't show it, I should have but I didn't

But still I am in love with you forever

Because you are my view of beauty and my idea of perfection

You are you as simple as that

And you made me fall for you

With you half smiles and your messy hair, with your good

My Heart On PaperYesterday she loved me, today she's gone
thought I found the one, guess I was wrong.
I don't know what I mean to her,
she doesn't know what she means to me.
I always want more to occur
but at the same time doubt it's meant to be.
I made a move out of not knowing what to do
but even long before that I think I lost you.

This is my heart on paper
these words staring back at you.
Lose a piece of us with every letter,
holding back tears while pouring forth truth.
My word is all I've got, all you can see
my hope is you, my fear is me.

What stands in our way isn't as great as we could be
I'm not always right so am I wrong when I thin

redzonecracked mortar and
the remnants of the once mighty
lying at my feet.
they used to scrape the sky,
they used to soar, oh-so high.

stained footpaths, heavy
and desperate with memory
they surround me
and i cannot help but
give in to the fallen angels
and the love that died here.

i wish i could say,
'you're not alone',
but they are so desolate

i would be lying.

Curse of the Black RoseSuch sadistic intentions hidden behind such grace
A scent of malice melded behind soothing fragrance
Great entropy reside with its beauty
A curse of despair rests within its cluster

Such grace lured me to its trap
Shackling my heart with thorns of hatred
Inflicting me with great depression
Making me feeble, vulnerable

It shattered my dreams, ruined all my plans
Left me in a hollow void I cannot mend
I will forever live through its trial
A fate I cannot escape

Imprisoned in its agonizing brambles
Fooled by the false crimson bloom
My devastated heart eternally bear its curse
The curse of the shallow black rose

Purge The SoulRifts of layered satin
move and cover whole
Overlapping limbs
and binding to the core
Struggling direction
as the rift provides more
Ways to turn and toss
and question
lessening the hold
Interwoven truths unbound
tethered to the sea
Currents carry taint away
simultaneously
let go of the handle
offered by the spout
Quench your thirst in rivers
clearing up the drought
Throw it all away
clothes cast upon the shore
'till ghostly skin is crystal clear
and find out you have more
~the purging of the soul~

The meadow whispers a hushed sigh
Caressed by a gentle breeze dancing by
Blades of grass shiver then rest
Rise and fall like a dreamer's chest
The hum of crickets singing their song
A night of peace that won't last long
There we lay, alone with our love
Stars from heaven hang just above
Your lips so soft, brushing my skin
Its feathery touch makes my head spin
I look into your eyes, deep as the sea
You hold my gaze as you smile at me
The beauty of our love made us appear to shine
